Using a grid is useful when positioning or drawing objects and characters in a scene. By default, the Proportion Grid is divided into 3 vertical and 3 horizontal sections to create the classic rule of thirds composition grid. It appears in the Camera view and follows the Camera frame. Its divisions can be customized in Preferences under the Camera tab.
How to display the Proportion Grid
- Do one of the following:
- Click the Grid
button at the bottom of the Camera view.
- Select View > Show > Proportion Grid.
