Harmony 20 has a multitude of workflow improvements designed to help you create quickly and effectively. Below is a list of all the workflow improvements added to Harmony 20.
Snapshot buttons
There are new buttons in the Camera status bar for taking and reviewing a snapshot. This means you can store a temporary copy of the content of the Camera view, and later compare it to the new modified state.
How to use the Snapshot buttons in the Camera view

In the Camera view, click the Take Snapshot button to take a snapshot of what currently appears in the Camera view.

In the Camera view, click and hold the Show Snapshot button to display the snapshot currently in memory. Releasing this button will restore the Camera view to its current state.
Quick Connection of Nodes
Now you can quickly connect nodes in the Node view by using shortcut keys.
How to quickly connect nodes in the Node view

In the Node view, do one of the following:
- To create a connection from the bottom of the first node to the top of the target node, select the first node and hold ALT while selecting the target node.
- To create a connection from the top of the first node to the bottom of the target node, select the first node and hold ALT+SHIFT while selecting the target node.
Cable Cutter Mode
A new mode is now available in the Node view to cut cables by dragging the mouse over them. The Cable Cutter mode can be enabled using a button in the Node view toolbar, or by setting an override in the Shortcuts.
Find and Insert Node
The Node view now has a new menu to find and insert a node. This helps you to find and insert nodes easily and effortlessly.
How to add nodes using the Quick Insert menu

In the Node view, do one of the following:
- Click anywhere if you want to add an unconnected node and connect it manually.
- If you want to add a node and automatically connect it to other nodes, click on the node the new node should be connected to.

Press Enter. The Quick Insert menu appears.
- In the Quick Insert menu, do one of the following:
- Scroll down until you find the node you want to add.
Start typing the name of the node you want to add to filter the list of nodes until you see the node you want to add in the list.

Do one of the following:
- Click on the node you want to add in the list.
- Use the Up Arrowand Down Arrow keys to select the node in the list, then press Enter/Return.
- Type up the entire name of the node you want to add so that it is the only node in the list, then press Enter/Return.
The selected node is added to the Node View, and is automatically connected to the node you had previously selected.
Eyedropper in Colour Overrides
The Colour-Override node now has eyedroppers that allow you to select a colour or a pencil texture from the Camera or Drawing view. The eyedroppers can be found in the Colour-Override Layer Properties in the Colours section.
Quick Ease In/Out for keyframes
New commands and toolbar buttons allow you to quickly set ease in and ease out of keyframes selected in the Timeline. Depending on the selected button, it will set your eases to 33% on one or both sides.
