Activity 2: Thumbnails for Paperless Animation

In this video, you will learn the basic process of creating rough animation in Harmony using thumbnails. You will see how you can use art layers to separate your rough from your clean. You will also see how to create invisible lines in the Colour art layers to paint your animation and use the Apply to Line and Colour Art function to move artwork in all your art layers at once. Moreover, you will learn some advantages of using the Drawing view.

To create your thumbnails, you will see how to add a new colour swatch to your palette, use the onion skin and light table, rename layers, clone and duplicate layers, create empty drawings, use Current Drawing on Top, adjust the timing, and draw your key poses.

Finally, you learn about the drawing substitution concept, how to duplicate drawings, and remove all the artwork contained in an entire layer all at once.
