Using a grid is useful when positioning or drawing objects and characters in a scene. Storyboard Pro 20 has 2 additional grids to help you stage your scenes.

A grid can also be useful for creating balanced compositions for all your shots. By default, the Proportion Grid is divided into 3 vertical and 3 horizontal sections to create the classic rule of thirds composition grid. It can be used independently in either the Stage or Camera views and follows the Camera frame. Its divisions can be customized in Preferences under the Camera tab.

Another grid that has been added is the 16x12 Field Grid. This grid is very similar to the 12 Field Grid, except is covers a 16x12 area instead of a 12x12 one.

In addition to the new grids, the Alignment Guides have been updated to allow snapping for bitmap images.
